BERTHA RAMIREZ CARREON

Bertha Alicia Carreon, affectionately known as “Tita,” passed away peacefully on September 17, 2025, in her hometown of Santa Rosa, California, surrounded by her loving family. She was 36 years old. Born on July 19, 1989, in Santa Rosa, Tita was a proud member of the Pomo Tribe, Dry Creek Rancheria. She was deeply connected to her Native roots and was an active participant in cultural traditions as a Native dancer. Her vibrant spirit and dedication to her heritage touched many in her community. Tita attended Empire College, where she had begun pursuing a degree in Business Management. A creative soul, she found joy in teaching beading classes and sharing her talents with others. But above all else, Tita’s greatest accomplishment—and the role she cherished most—was being a mother. Her children were the center of her world, and she lived every day for them with unmatched love and devotion. She also enjoyed staying active and had recently taken to going to the gym, embracing each new day with strength and determination. Tita was an amazing aunt to her nieces and nephews. Her face would light up every time she saw them. Always ready to shower them with hugs and kisses. She was a true friend to many, so much so that people often considered her closer than their own family. She was a beautiful soul, who cared deeply for those around her and left no one behind. If Tita had it, we all had it. She is survived by her mother Norma, her father Jim, and stepfather Lucio; her beloved children Nohemi, David, Desiree, Emanuel, Enabella, and Victor; her siblings, James, Nathan, Elena, Victoria, Fabian, Marika, Angela, Mariah, Teeny, Victor, Jesus, Fabian, Lorenzo, and Yolanda - along with many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and extended family. Tita is preceded in death by her beloved grandparents, Mi-Apa Jose Manuel Carreon and Mi-Ama Bertha Lidia Carreon, whose memories she held close to her heart. A viewing will be held on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, from 6:00–7:00 PM at Windsor Healdsburg Mortuary, 9660 Old Redwood Hwy., Windsor, CA. Funeral services will take place on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Pleasant Hills Memorial Park & Cemetery, 1700 Pleasant Hill Rd., Sebastopol, CA, with burial to follow.
