Efrain Valdivia

Efrain (Efrin) Valdivia, affectionately known as “Dad, Apa, Pops, a devoted father, hardworking house painter, and humble man, passed away peacefully on January 5th, 2024. Born in Tepic Nayarit, Mexico, Efrain's journey through life was marked by simplicity, kindness, and love for his family. He was born to his parents Hermelinda Mendoza and Jose Valdivia, Efrain embraced the values of hard work and humility instilled in him by his parents. He was a loving Father to Ruby, Efrain Jr., Nancy, Judy, Daisy, Vanessa, Noemi, Sonia, Karla, and Victor. Efrain loved his children very much and his love for Ramona was profound and extraordinary. His love for his mother Hermelinda held a special place in his heart, whom he assisted in caring for. Efrain's hands were his tools, as a professional house painter for over 15 years, he found joy and fulfillment in his work. Beyond his profession, Efrain found solace in simple pleasures. Fishing was not just a pastime but a way for him to enjoy quiet moments of reflection. His love for collecting coins reflected a fascination with history and the stories behind each coin. He also had a love for Gold, jewelry, and gemstones, he would use his metal detector to seek treasures, finding joy in the thrill of a new discovery. Efrain's life was a testament to the beauty of simplicity. He didn't need much to find happiness; known for his generosity, he was always willing to help others, even if it meant giving his last dollar. He leaves behind a legacy of warmth, kindness, and selflessness. Efrain will be deeply missed by his mother, children, brothers, sisters, extended family, and friends marked by his presence. As we mourn his passing, let us also celebrate the rich tapestry of a life well-lived, remembering the lessons of love and simplicity that Efrain leaves behind. May his soul rest in eternal peace entering the gates of heaven. There will be a visitation on Friday, Jan 19, 2024 at our Lady of Guadalupe Church, 8400 Old Redwood Hwy in Windsor, between 10:30 - 12:pm, Mass will begin immediately after the viewing at 12:pm. Burial to follow at Shiloh District Cemetery, 7130 Windsor Rd. Windsor CA.
