(SPANISH) Sergio Guido Silva, cariñosamente conocido como “Checo,” falleció el 6 de Abril 2026 en Santa Rosa, CA, a la edad de 43 años, tras una valiente batalla contra el cáncer. Sergio nació el 4 de Octubre 1982 en Rancho Pamaceo, Salvador Escalante, Michoacán, Méx., donde creció y formó los valores de trabajo duro, amor por la familia y alegría por la vida que siempre lo caracterizaron. Dedicó su vida al trabajo con esfuerzo y compromiso, desempeñándose como capataz con Scott Anderson Landscape & Maintenance, especializándose en construcción de jardinería. Fue ampliamente respetado por su ética laboral y su calidad humana, recibiendo un reconocimiento por ser una persona trabajadora y ejemplar. Sergio encontraba su mayor felicidad en los momentos sencillos de la vida: cantar, bailar y convivir con sus seres queridos. Tenía un manera especial para hacer reír a los demás, siempre contando chistes y manteniendo una sonrisa hasta el final. Su espíritu alegre, su sentido del humor y su bondad vivirán por siempre en quienes lo conocieron. Fue precedido en la muerte por su hermano menor, Fernando Guido. Le sobreviven su amada hija, Adriana Guido; su padre, Rafael Guido Luna; y su madre, Celia Silva Guido. También le sobreviven sus hermanos Candelario Guido, José Guido, Elvia Guido, Alicia Guido, Beatrice Guido y Noel Guido; el amor de su vida, Idolina Campos; así como sus sobrinos, sobrinas, familiares y amigos, quienes atesorarán su memoria. El Velorio con Santo Rosario se llevará a cabo el Lunes 13 de Abril 2026, de 4:00 p.m. a 7:00 p.m., en la capilla de Windsor Healdsburg Mortuary, 9660 Old Redwood Highway en Windsor. La Misa de Funeral se celebrará el Martes 14 de Abril 2026 a las 12:00 p.m. en la Iglesia St. John’s, 208 Matheson St en Healdsburg. “Sus restos serán repatriados a Michoacán, México, el viernes 18 de abril de 2026.” (ENGLISH) Sergio Guido Silva, lovingly known as “Checo,” passed away on April 6, 2026, in Santa Rosa, California, at the age of 43, following a courageous battle with cancer. Sergio was born on October 4, 1982, in Rancho Pamaceo, Salvador Escalante, Michoacán, Mexico, where he was raised and formed the strong values of hard work, family, and joy for life that he carried with him always. He built a life centered on dedication and perseverance, working as a foreman for Scott Anderson Landscape & Maintenance, where he specialized in landscaping construction. Sergio was deeply respected for his work ethic and character, earning a certificate of recognition for being hardworking and an outstanding person. Sergio found his greatest happiness in the simple pleasures of life—singing, dancing, and spending time with those he loved. He had a natural gift for making others laugh, always sharing jokes and carrying a warm smile that remained with him until the very end. His spirit, humor, and kindness will be remembered by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his younger brother, Fernando Guido. Sergio is survived by his beloved daughter, Adriana Guido; his father, Rafael Guido Luna; and his mother, Celia Silva Guido. He is also survived by his siblings, Candelario Guido, Jose Guido, Elvia Guido, Alicia Guido, Beatrice Guido, and Noel Guido; also the love of his life, Idolina Campos; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will cherish his memory. A visitation with Rosary will be held on Monday, April 13, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Windsor Healdsburg Mortuary Chapel, 9660 Old Redwood Highway in Windsor. A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. at St. John’s Church 208 Matheson Street in Healdsburg. His remains will be repatriated back to Michoacan Mex on Friday, April 18th, 2026.
