December 9, 1941 - September 9, 2021
Ubaldina Ollarzabal Ramirez was born on December 9, 1941 in Zacatecas, Mexico to Jaime and Evangelina Ollarzabal. She married the love of her life, Pedro Ramirez, on May 15th, 1959 in the small town of Nieves, Zacatecas. She was 17 years old and he had just turned 20 that very same day. Shortly after in 1961, the young couple immigrated to Northern California and began their own family, raising four wonderful children, Aida, Jacob, Lorena and Peter. They have lived in Boonville, Petaluma, Healdsburg and eventually settled down in their forever family home in Windsor. Ubaldina first worked in the fields picking apples and grapes, where she was always praised as the fastest worker, in electronics manufacturing for over 20 years at various companies and 6 years at the Salvation Army before her retirement in December 2014. She was constantly recognized and by all of her employers for her incredible work ethic and positive attitude. Her favorite pastimes were tending to her beautiful flower gardens in the back yard and front yard, and catching up with all of her closest friends and relatives over the phone. Her and Pedro's favorite pastimes together were watching their favorite shows on Univision and Telemundo, going to River Rock Casino on Saturdays and attending mass on Sundays at Our Lady of Guadalupe. But what she loved the most was spending time with her family, where everyone would eat together, laugh together, dance together, and talk about their favorite memories. Her home cooking was unmatched; her most famous dishes were her tamales that she made for the holidays, her menudo on Sunday mornings, and her gorditas and empanadas were the family's comfort food. Ubaldina was extremely proud of all of her children and their accomplishments in life. Together, Ubaldina and Pedro Ramirez have 4 children: Aida, Jacob, Lorena, and Peter; 12 grandchildren: Sonia, Albert, Magdalena, David, Noel, Bianca, Joel, Mario, Angela, Julian, Exael, and Veronica; and 10 great-grandchildren: AJ, Ynessa, Alex, Serena, Sadie, Skyler, Airyana, Raina, Oceana, and Layla. Everybody would say that she was the kindest, sweetest and most beautiful person inside and out. She was truly genuine and selfless. She would give the shirt off her back for anybody. She was so loved by her community. Ubaldina leaves behind to cherish her memory, her beloved husband of 62 years, Pedro Ramirez, all of their children and grandchildren, many loving nieces and nephews, and countless best friends who loved her dearly.
